Fiber One 50 Cal!

Even though I've been doing so much thinking about what I'll be packing in Boug's lunchbox when school starts, I've also been thinking about the hub's lunchbox. Each night I head into the kitchen and pack up his lunch and I've noticed we're completely stuck in a rut. It seems like every night I put the exact same things in his lunchbox!! He doesn't complain and I know that he wont, but I've gotta mix it up or else he'll find another hot mama to pack his lunchbox!!

MyBlogSpark gave us the opportunity to try out Fiber One 50 Cal yogurt and of course, it went straight into the hub's lunchbox! 50 calories and 5 grams of fiber make this a great lunchbox addition for him, and it doesn't taste low calorie either! Its even available in all his favorite flavors, strawberry, peach, vanilla and key lime pie! We tried out the strawberry and it had the same great taste that you would hope that "good for you" yogurt would have!

You can score a $1 off coupon for Fiber One 50 Cal yogurt here! And you can win one of THREE Fiber One 50 Cal yogurt prize packages here at A Couch With A View!! These include a coupon for a free 4-pack of Fiber One 50 Cal, cooler pack and other great items for you to carry your snacks and yogurt!

Want to enter to win a Fiber One 50 Cal prize pack?? Leave a comment here letting me know the easiest way that you've found to cut a few calories in your diet! Favorite low-cal snack food possibly? How you reduce your portion size??

I have learned to drink more liquid like water to fill me up and I avoid the lunch lines at work by packing my own lunch so I don't buy impulsively at the moment.

Apples are great for a low cal snack.

Sue August 13, 2009 at 1:41 PM

I refuse to drink my calories, I love food too much. I also fill up on water before I eat my meals so I'm less likely to overeat.

I do not have the down time to snack anymore and that cuts my calories way down. I have to eat things as I am preparing meals and chasing my kids. I also drink a ton of water.

My fave low-cal treat is Sugar-Free French Vanilla Cafe by International Foods. It is rich and creamy, and satisfying. I cut calories by eating several small snacks throughout the day instead of having large meals.

I divide my calories up into 100 segments and spread them out every 2 or 3 hours. I use a piece of fruit, a granola bar, a yogurt, boiled egg or whatever so I do not get hungry.

Cutting out soda is one of the healthiest things!

Nancy,  August 14, 2009 at 6:55 AM

The easiest way to trim excess calories is to focus on eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Also when you snack on something else, put it in a very small bowl- about the size of 1 cup - to control portion size. Drink lots of water to fill you up with zeso calories.

purplepassion126 August 14, 2009 at 1:06 PM

The easiest way that I've found to cut calories is to not drink soda and to drink water all day long. Not only does the water fill me up so I don't eat as much food, but it also has no calories and it refreshes me throughout the day. Also, when I am busy I tend to eat much less, so I try to keep myself busy so that I'm not thinking about food and eating mindlessly.

To cut calories use nuts as a healthy snack between meals or a wedge of bread dipped into olive oil this should help you feel full(sort of) without going crazy devouring everything in site.

typicalchick August 16, 2009 at 12:59 AM

I like to have a glass of water before eating, and starting with a salad is a great way to fill up first also. If nothing else though, I use only one piece of bread instead of 2, there goes 100-200 calories!

mogrill August 17, 2009 at 2:31 PM

I drink a lot of water before each meal, and put my fork down between bites. It really helps fill you up quickly.
Thanks for the chance.

My husband & I have been cutting back on eating meats, dairy products & processed foods. We are working on eating mostly fresh fruits, vegatables, nuts and whole grains. For his lunch, I pack him a tomatoe sandwich on whole grain bread sometimes with avacado slices and veganaise. I also give him a fresh piece of fruit and a Larabar for a mid day snack. He loves it and says he actually has more energy in the afternoon! Thanks! icalledonjesus@aol.com

The easiest switch for me was from regular soda to diet. Plus I cut way back. I used to drink 3-4 cans a day. I now only have 1. That is saving me a ton of calories because I drink water in place of the soda.

Pamela S August 29, 2009 at 2:58 PM

I have tried to increase my fiber which makes you feel full longer. I often add some of the fiber supplements with flavor to bottles of water to sip on during the day.

First of all, I love Nutri-Grain bars! They're good for you and I think they taste delicious too. Whenever I first cut back on fatty foods it's so hard! But once I get into the hang of it, it's a piece of cake. When something is routine, it's routine. :)
