Battle the back to school bug with Kleenex!

Photobucket

My own mother has already warned me, one of the first things thats going to happen when Boug starts Kindergarten is she's going to get a cold. Which means then I'll get it, then Lil' Buddy and the hub. And what sucks the most, is we're all battling a cold right now and school hasn't even started yet!!!

Around here, with the classroom supply lists, most of our schools say to provide one box of tissues for the classroom. Good thinking, that way the classroom always has tissues on hand, but I'm thinking we should all be providing the best tissues to stop germs from spreading. Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissue is what I'll be giving to the classroom this year!!

What an easy way to help keep the kids a bit healthier, to just switch from rough, dollar store brands of tissue to Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissue!! Keeping the kids healthy means less days out of school, keeping up on the schoolwork, mom and dad not getting sick, not missing work... do I need to keep going??

Want to win a $50 gift card and Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues?? Just leave a comment here with how you plan on "Battling the Bug" this season!! Visit www.BattleTheBug.com and let me know how many bugs have been spotted in your state!!

I plan to Battle the Bug this year by wiping down shopping cart handles with anti-bacterial wipes provided by the store. More and more stores are doing this! If I go to a store that doesn't provide these, I'll have a canister of the anti-bacterial wipes in the car and carry a wipe as I get my soon-to-be santitized cart!

Thanks so much.

washing hands, washing hands, washing hands (and using hand sanitizer when we can't wash our hands) We do use the various types of Kleenex (moisturizing, anti-viral, etc). Teaching our grandkids to "cough into their elbow" so it doesn't spread germs around the house, sanitizing things used by a person with a cold (telephone, computer keyboard, etc)

washing hands, getting plenty of rest, and staying away from people who are sick

Barbara Bee August 29, 2009 at 3:15 PM

Only one spotted in my state this year so far. I plan to battle the bug by stocking up on groceries and locking myself in my house until June. Nah not really but it's tempting, isn't it?

We plan to keep ours, and the kids hands washed with antibacterial soap, to dress weather-appropriate, and to wipe down public carts (never know what runny nose covered hand has been there) with alcohol wipes.

Thank you.

I plan on keeping the bugs at bay by having Airborne on hand and taking it at the first sign of a sneeze, sniffle, or throat tickle. I also take more antioxidants (C, E, garlic capsules, zinc) and drink lots of fluids. There has been ONE bug spotted in NY. Let's keep it that way!

In Kentucky we have a few bugs going around. Unfortunately swine flu is here with 16 cases reported.

We will wash our hands frequently. Boost our immune systems with heathy food like fruit and veggies..dont forget protein.

Water and juice to help flush anything out.
