To go along with all this self-support, I've found a few friends participating in the 30 Days of Truth and I think it could be quite beneficial to me to participate as well. I think it'll let me in on who I am, and it'll be a bit of self discovery. You can find the daily questions over at Angel Believes.

Day 15:
Something or Someone That You Couldn't Live Without, Because You've Tried Living Without It

Now up til this point, I've been somewhat deep with my answers, but this one just isn't so deep. Something I couldn't live without? Coffee and cigarettes. Its horrible I know, but those are my vices and I'm not ready to go without either one of them!!

Day 14:
A Hero That Has Let You Down (a letter)

Dear Me,
I have always tried to hold myself to a high standard, I have always tried to be my own hero. Its gotten to the point where I've realized that I'm not quite as strong as I think I am. I'm really good to know that I can pretend, put on my happy face and make believe that I'm alright, that I'm strong. I know its not true. I'm a lot less strong than I thought that I was and in that regard I have let myself down daily. I'm slowly working myself back up, but I know I'll never be what I thought that I was. Its change. Its growth.

Playtime with Olivia

There are few shows that I actually enjoy sitting with the kids with and watching, on that short list, is Olivia. As much as Boug and Lil' Buddy like Olivia, I think its hilarious to watch that little piggies train of thinking!

Spinmaster has brand new toys featuring Olivia and I'm stoked that I was able to get them for Boug! The Olivia 2 in 1 Transforming Playset is absolutely adorable and Miss Boug has been playing with it non-stop! Because we all know how vivid Olivia's imagination is, it transforms from her house, into a pirate ship! Though Boug loves the playset for the "play" part of it, I love how conveniently it folds back up and contains itself. Less mess for Mom!! It comes with an Olivia figure, 23 accessories and a sticker sheet to decorate the house with!

Boug also got the Olivia the Artist plush doll, and Mr. Lil' Buddy keeps trying to steal it from her while she's at school!! There are even other varieties of the Olivia plush dolls available, such as the opera singer and cow, and you can even pick up outfits for the 8 inch dolls!

Both the Olivia 2 in 1 Transforming Playset, as well as the Olivia the Artist plush doll, are available at Toys R Us, KMart and Target, or you can click through to order the Olivia 2-In 1 Playset or Olivia The Artist plush doll through amazon.com.

I received both items through Team Mom to review at no charge, which in no way changes the way I feel about the products or the way my children feel about the products. My opinions are my opinions.

It's National Coffee Day!!

I love any chance to celebrate the fabulousness that is coffee!! Today, September 29th, is National Coffee Day!! Now, I love me a good cup of coffee, and making coffee with crappy water never makes for a good cup o' joe. Buying lots of bottled water ends up being so expensive, and I know this because I've gone through so much simply by making my coffee and getting my caffeine fix.

PUR Water Filtration systems are awesome because in the long run, they save you so much money versus buying bottled water. With the PUR one-click faucet mount, you can start your day off right, with a fabulous tasting cup of coffee, while you remove 99.9% of microbial cysts and reduce so many other contaminants. In another way, you save lots of bottles from ending up in landfills and you save yourself money too, so what's not to love about that?? Even more to love? The PUR one-click faucet mount is just that easy to install, its ONE CLICK and completely usable! Nothing complicated at all, which I completely adore!!

Want to celebrate National Coffee Day with a chance to win a PUR one-click faucet mount? Leave a comment here with what kind of water you use to make your java at home!! Bottled? Tap? Only get coffee at a shop?

1800-Flowers.com Celebrates Birthdays!!

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that most births happen between late summer and early fall. With Lil' Buddy in mid-August, as well as Boug and I being in July, its so odd to think of October 5th being America's most common birthday!!

1800-Flowers.com is celebrating birthdays with their Deliver Birthday Smiles campaign, and they have so many wonderful choices for brightening up someones birthday with flowers!! There are choices like their Bucket of Birthday Wishes, that features carnations, roses and other beautiful flowers, or the Cupcake in Bloom, which is an adorable arrangement of carnations shaped as a cupcake, and another great choice is the Birthday Flower Cake, that is too sweet, arriving in a bakery box and is an array of carnations and poms.

Choices are wide and affordable, you can even search the 1800-Flowers.com site by your price point! They have fabulous arrangements available for under $30!

Keep your eyes peeled for a 1800-Flowers.com giveaway coming up real soon here at A Couch With A View!!

Day 13:
A Band or Artist That Has Gotten You Through Some Tough Ass Days (write a letter)

This one is ridiculously hard!!

Dear Guster,
You were always "our" band. And even though the marriage has dissolved, I'll always hold a very special place in my heart for you. The night early on in the relationship when my ex went to rehab, I listened to LAGF over and over, the album was on repeat overnight. When my daughter was born, she spent days listening to you, and hearing you in the background over her crying kept my sanity. I love how as she got older, she always knew all the words to the songs that we would sing, and we would dance together. For a bit, I wasn't able to even listen to you though. I mean, you were "OUR" band. Your songs were "OUR" songs. When everything began to go downhill, I had to put you on pause. But now your songs mean something different to me, they're insightful and happy, they're memories of fabulous days, and even though those days are gone, I can look back and see that they at least once existed, that I at least experienced what my marriage was. The saddest thing of it all though, was one of the very last things that my ex-husband and I did as a couple was see your fabulous show at the Beacon Theater in NYC last November. Looking back, it was bittersweet. I'll always treasure that night, sitting there with him, the aocoustic set at the end was so wonderful it brought me chills, and being there with him meant the world to me. That was us. I thank you for taking the ride with us.

Much love,
Casey

Day 12:
Something You Never Get Compliments On

I never get compliments on my laugh. Its strange to say, but I know I'm a big belly laugher. I am loud and obnoxious. I'm boisterious. I'm bold. But most of all, like I said, I'm LOUD.

Day 11:
Something People Seem To Compliment You The Most On

As odd as it sounds, I seem to dismiss lots of compliments. I know they exist and I know I receive them, but I seem to overlook them and think nothing of them. There's only a few that seem to stick out and that's the compliments that I get on my makeup, which is generally minimal. Then there's the real compliments, ones from wonderful friends who have my back and remind me constantly of how strong I actually am and how much they love me. I'd be lost without those compliments and they are the ones that really matter.

Day 10:
Someone You Need To Let Go, or Wish You Didn't Know

This is a hard one, because I hate letting go of people in my life. And there aren't many people that I wish I didn't know. The people that I do know, that I know I should let go of, are people who have affected me in different ways and have helped shape me to be who I am, so should I let go of them?

Day 9:
Someone You Didn't Want To Let Go, But Just Drifted.

I absolutely didn't want to let my husband go, but at one point you realize that its all too far gone. Its drifted too far. The "us" had been ignored for too long and it was all beyond repair. I knew that this was the point where I had to let go, where I had to move on, because my idea of a forever happy family wasn't going to happen from the standpoint we wound up at.

Day 8:
Someone Who Has Made Your Life Hell, or Has Treated You Like Shit

There's a few different people that I could turn to fill this spot, but in all honesty, it doesn't even matter. Those moments of hell, those moments of shit, I've gotten over them and those moments are what made me who I am today. And no worries, karma's a serious bitch and will get them back someway, somehow, someday.

Baby your baby with Bourdreaux's

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

Having two kids tends to run you ragged, but there's convenience in turning to trusted products without having to even think about it. One less thing to think about in a given day takes even just the tiniest bit of stress off of a busy mom. I've always turned to Bourdreaux's Butt Paste for both Boug and Lil' Buddy and it's been a product that has NEVER let me down!!

Boudreaux's Butt Paste was specifically formulated by a pharmacist with the help of a well respected pediatrician. So of course, Boudreaux's is pediatrician recommended to care for your babies tushie when it comes to diaper rash remedies. Available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 ounce tubes, or the big 16 ounce jar, you can have the right size for your needs. The smaller tubes are great for tossing into the diaper bag and the jar is perfect for sitting right on the changing table! Part of the reason I love Bourdreaux's is because it goes on so easily and comes off so easily as well. I would hate to have to rub my babies heiney hard when its already irritated to begin with. Its easy to see why Bourdreaux's would be featured on Oprah, The Tonight Show, The Today Show, and so many other programs, its phenomenal and its so trusted by so many!!

Day 3:
Something You Have To Forgive Yourself For

I must learn to forgive myself for letting my marriage get too far gone. I always wanted to see myself ending up with one person for the rest of my life, be married, raise my kids, retire and see the world evolve all with that same person. This didn't happen and I do beat myself up for it quite a bit. I do think that there were more efforts on my end that could have been made to save my marriage, but who is to say that those same efforts would be reciprocated from my ex-husbands end? Fact of it all is, there's no way to change the way things happened, there's no way to know the way things could have been.

I love that I have two awesome children who love me regardless of my faults. I love that I have gotten to the point in my life where I'm not too stubborn to ask for help.

Back to school goodies!!

There's definitely too much that heads to school with the kiddies, never to return. There's the seemingly endless list of supplies that are needed for each grade. I got lucky with Boug's kindergarten teacher and she didn't require us to send a whole lot in with the kids, but first grade is a whole different story!! Boug's teacher had a list for us a mile long!! Of course I didn't want her stuff to get mixed up with anyone elses, cause face it, we all spend a lot of money each year on school supplies, so they all got labeled!! Stuck On You makes it super easy to get all your back to school labeling needs in one easy purchase!

The Stuck On You Tools 4 School pack contains pretty much everything that littles need to start school off, including 12 colored pencils, 10 markers, 2 pencils, a ruler, a pair of scissors, an eraser, a sharpener and a pencil case. Of course the pack contains 50 mini name labels to label each item and more!!

Day 1:
Something You Hate About Yourself

This could be a long one. I try to let go of hate, but it doesn't always happen. I'm so much harder on myself than anyone else, and I know I probably always will be. I hate that I have no patience. I hate that I have regrets, even though I have always told myself I will never regret anything. I hate the scared girl that lives inside me. I hate my lack of motivation.

Now its just a matter of fixing these things...

Painting made easy from Glidden

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Glidden. All opinions are 100% mine.

I've always looked forward to owning my own home, not being a renter, and being able to do whatever it is I wanted with that house. Including painting rooms whatever colors and designs that I want to. Glidden makes it easy to test out their awesome colors with their Ready-To-Go paint testers. Their color selections are amazing, and you can test out the paints easily with the brush that sits right in the lid of the tester!

Of course these paint testers from Glidden are great for other reasons as well, being a parent you know that scuffs and marks and smudges happen on the walls all too quickly and easily. Once you've painted your room with a Glidden paint, you can always keep the same color on hand in a tester in order to cover up those boo-boos that the kiddies put onto your walls.

The Glidden site is a great asset while making your painting choices, they have an interactive room painter tool. You can try out paints, helping you decide, based on a color palette, a top 10 or to match a mood! Aside from the site, Glidden also offers their top 10 color palettes to help coordinate colors easily, as well as XL paint chips, with matching color options on the back. The XL paint chips make it a whole lot easier to see the colors right in your room, with its own lighting.

Back into another routine...

So we're a week into the school year. We're settling back into, yet again, another routine.

It seemed like yesterday I was sending Boug off to kindergarten and here we are now, in the beginning of first grade. We just got into our summer routine it seemed, and now we have to get back into the school days routine.

Things are crazy. I'm still not settled into the new place. I'm still not settled into being me, alone. I'm not settled on keeping my pretend happy face on. I'm not settled into all of this chaos that my life has become, and now to add another thing onto that, its hard.

I ask for help. How do I make this additional routine easier on top of all the other crap I have going on in my life, in my own head??

Disney's Secretariat Giveaway!

Some of the movies that come out say that they're based on a true story, and you believe that and say, "yeah, sure, I could see how that could be easily true." She pushes through with help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin and got the first Triple Crown Winner in 25 years, and what could be the greatest racehorse of all time.

Disney's Secretariat is graced with a star studded cast, including Diane Lane, John Malkovich, Dylan Walsh, James Cromwell and more. Rated PG, its something you don't mind taking the whole family to, no worries about it not being a friendly film, which is hard to find now a days.

We'll Never Forget

9/11, Patriot Day, or whatever you feel the need to call it, is a day that none of us should ever forget about. Its part of the aweful that ends up in history books. An event that will be taught in schools for what I feel will be forever.

Living 2 hours north of NYC, left us in an odd place. And I'm sure those who lived all over the country, and the world, felt some similar feelings. Knowing that someone, a group of people, wanted to harm us to this extent was shocking. The visuals, the words, the pain, the shock.

We can't forget the people who lost their lives because they showed up for work that day. No matter what their job title was. We can't forget those who gave their lives that day, simply because their job title was firefighter, police, emt and more.

We won't forget. We CANT forget.

Reboost with Boost Mobile

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.

When your credit is shot, or you're just looking for another option for mobile phones, some of the prepaid varieties make life so very convenient for some. The Re-Boost option from Boost Mobile makes reloading your airtime so simple. With Reboost, you can pay online, pay in person or pay by phone to add funds to your wireless account. When you go for the online choice, you can easily set up worry free payments or make a one time payment, both choices are also available when you Reboost by phone as well.

Being a blogger, and the age we live in today, being connected to social media is huge and Boost Mobile phones make it so easy to keep connected. You can keep connected to facebook, for example, through Boost for one small price per month. Even their phone choices are affordable, the Blackberry Curve is only $149.99 and the monthly plan for that phone only runs at $60! I'm sorry, but you can't beat that when big name phones charge you $300 plus dollars for a phone and then another $130 a month for a single plan!! Being a single mom, its making cell phone use affordable, and I have to love that!! I'm even eyeballing the i1 phone, which is Android powered, and runs monthly unlimited rates of only $50.

I hate to be unconnected from the friends and family that I have all over the country, and the choices available from Boost Mobile make it so that I don't have to lose contact! Now if only the people I choose to keep in touch with would have unlimited texting too, we'd be unstoppable!!

To be open with myself, to share with you...

I'm not all that sure I ever realized how much I relied on people.

Not for money or goods or anything, but just to have someone there. To know someone is on my side. To have someone in my corner, so to speak. This whole separation leading to divorce has made me realize that I hate to be alone. The ex used to tell me, and has somewhat recently, that I'm a rebound dater, and that he was once a rebound too. I see how that can be true, because I'm not sure how to be alone anymore. I'm doing my best to do for me, and not to rely on other people, even if it is only for their company. Its hard to be alone. And I know I have two little ones home with me at times, and I know technically I'm not actually alone, but without a companion there, without someone to pick me up, I've had to learn how to pick myself up.

I started therapy. I can hardly afford it, with its $50 co-pay each time I go, but I know I need it. So far they say I have an adjustment disorder with depression, meaning I don't handle any sort of change well at all, that its pushing me into a depression. I need to learn how to deal with change. I have high-highs, and super low-lows, and I need to get that evened out. I don't feel like myself by any means and its a horrid, horrible, feeling. I'm at the point where I absolutely LOVE to go to work, because there I am pretty much forced to hide how I feel, I put on my big fake happy face and I sling beers and burgers and everyone is happy. Even though I feel like I'm dying on the inside...

Bear with me, I'm trying to get back to who I am, but I'm not sure who that is anymore. Its going to be a long, hard road, but I've got new boots for walkin'...

Comfort in Ramblers Way

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

Fall is coming and I absolutely love buying new fall and winter wear. My big thing is comfort and sometimes I'll put aside the latest trends and styles just to make sure that I'm comfortable. I love the classic looks, and I go for sweaters and jeans in the fall and winter more often than not.

I've always tended to steer away from wool, because I've always found it to be itchy and uncomfortable. Like I said, I'm a comfort queen! Poking around on Ramblers Way, I've found out some great new info on their wool products that put my mind to ease a bit on purchasing wool clothing. Ramblers says that their wool is super soft and super fine. Part of their mission is to surprise customers with the personal warmth, comfort and confidence that their worsted wool apparel can provide. They are the same people who founded Tom's of Maine, and view their business as local before global, an outlook that I absolutely love to support.

I sat here and gave myself an imaginary shopping spree over at Ramblers Way. It was quite difficult to choose only a few items. I want them all!! Everything looks so comfortable and versatile. I know that I would have to have the camisole that they offer as well as the cross neck long sleeve top. I know I'd be able to toss either one of those on and be able to dress them up, dress them down or layer them as need be!

Bobbie Brooks jeans at Dollar General

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ever since I had kids, I've had a seriously hard time finding jeans that I like. Jeans that fit me the way that I want them to fit me. My body shape has changed so much and although I'm working hard to take weight off and tone up, I'm still not a perfect figure. And definitely not a skinny minnie with washboard abs who can walk in anywhere and find jeans that fit without fail.

I have a new pair of top fave jeans and I'm kinda surprised at how much I like them. I hate to sound superficial or materialistic, but I had never thought to look into a Dollar General for jeans for myself. They sent along a pair of their new Bobbie Brooks jeans and I'm loving the way they fit!! The very first time that I wore them, I headed over to my moms and before I could mention where they came from, I had compliments. She mentioned how they fit me better than some of the other jeans that I normally wear!

The bobbie brooks at Dollar General fit me like expensive jeans should, and though I've spent a buttload of money on jeans before, there's no need to with the Bobbie Brooks ones. Their 5 pocket, stretch denim jeans are running at $12 a pair. With money being tight, I can definitely afford $12 per pair jeans that fit great. I don't feel like I'm giving anything up to purchase these jeans!

Do you have a Dollar General nearby? Would you pick up a pair of Bobbie Brooks jeans??
