Partners In Caring & Bloggers In Caring
I never want to be one to admit it, but being a one income family... I always feel thisclose to not being able to make ends meet. We've had a nice run of bad luck over the past few years and I'm so grateful that we've been able to keep our heads up and make it through.
Sometimes there's help that's needed and that's okay. Its not a reason to be shameful or embarrassed. It's a wonderful thing that there are great people out there that make programs work for people who need them.
Bloggers In Caring is a program that is part of ShopRite's Partners In Caring efforts to raise awareness about hunger and I'm so happy to be involved! Can you believe that ShopRite has donated $20 million to food banks in the past ten years?? That's really an impressive number and though it sounds like a lot, there's always more that should and could be donated....
For the first 30 people that comment on this post, General Mills and ShopRite will donate a box of cereal to a Food Bank in ShopRites' trading area. This is your chance to do something nice for someone effortlessly! Start commenting peeps!

I grew up with Shop Rite, my mom smoking cigarettes as we were shopping, does that give away my age??? Gosh that's just gross! Anyhoo, I love Shop Rite and their brand, always will!

What a great idea! Thanks so much to you and Shop Rite.
I can definitely relate... we've got five children and it seems to only get tougher as the years go by, but we've been blessed to never have to know what it's like to go without food. My heart/prayers go out to those families who have not been so fortunate and I'm always willing to do what I can for someone who needs a little help! It's only by the grace of God that we're not in their shoes.
Good for Shoprite!
Glad to see a corporation that cares!

this is a great cause, especially in this economy, and I should know. Its good to see companies caring.
It's great to see businesses get involved and help. My family was homeless for a short period of time while I was growing up so knowing that other children will be hungry tonight really hits home. Kudos Shop Rite!
What a great thing for General Mills and ShopRite to do. I'm glad to help.
GM and Shoprite working together is a great thing. They can help so many people.
