I'm ready to put up the next giveaway here for the Bloggy Carnival!!
I'm forever taking pictures, I'm not the best at it, my lighting is always off, my children are always a mess and I love every minute of it!!

I've always wanted to take photography courses and learn how to balance light and take amazing pictures. I've wanted to own a fabulous, expensive camera and go crazy.... but not now, its not in the budget. I've got my little Sony Cybershot and its perfect for my needs right now.

My daughter. She is 4 mos old and I'm already nearing 1000 pics of her! And thats just my camera
I take pictures constantly of my two boys and their father. My 6 year old is also getting really good at using my digital camera. My biggest tip is that I will usually take at least a dozen of each shot. Then I have several to choose the best from. I also use different settings for a same shot so I can be sure to get just the right light.
I love taking pictures of all my friends so we'll have lots of ways to remember all of our fun times.

I take a ton of pictures of my kids. One tip for taking better pictures of them is not to pose them, natural pictures come out so much better
My kiddos are my favorite thing to take pictures of. The only tips I know are to use natural light and to get on their level so the angle is good.

While I'm waiting for grandchildren,( I have 4 grown (27,25,21,19)daughters) I take pics of my dogs. All 5 of them!
Tip...keep the camera with you at all times.

I learned a tip from my neighbor. When you want to take pictures outside, do it first thing in the morning. I'm sure there is a techinical reason, but the light is the absolute best for pictures. I love to take pictures of the kids in my gardens and they turn out fabulous when we do them about 8am. Thanks for the great giveaway.

I once read in a book that when you think you have a good picture take 3 steps forward -- most people are too far away when they take pics.
I love taking pictures of my kids. I really like taking them of my youngest. He's at that stage where he likes to ham it up for the camera.
My tip is kinda simple but it's to get closer than you think you need to. Too many wide angle shots lose the focus or get blurry. Better to get your object in view and get as close as possible!

I love to take pictures of my girls!! When we're outside, no matter what the setting, I love to have the "foliage" accent setting on, because it just brightens up my pictures so much!

I am constantly taking pictures of my girls, our travels or food (for my food site). I have no tricks and really need a photography course as well! Of course I would need better than a point-and-shoot camera to make that worth while!

I good tip for taking pictures is if taking pictures of young children, take them after they've been fed...they'll be happier and less cranky.

My favorite kid picture tip is to get down on their level (squat, sit, lay down, whatever you have to do to get to their level). Happy picture taking!

I'm not much of a photographer, but I would say my best tip is to just keep shooting. With digital cameras, the best thing is that you can just delete the photos you don't want, no waste of film. We've gotten some of our very best shots this way.

My 2 photo tips:
1. Use your flash, even when there is plenty of light. Take 1 pic w/it and one w/out it. You will be surprised how often the flash shot is better even when you did not think you needed it.
2. Move in closer. Now take 2 more steps toward your subject.

I read the camera manual and really got to understand every button and feature on my camera. It was a basic digital, but there are tons of features that make the pics better.
I am always taking pictures of wee man and lil kiwi.. hm and the dogs all three of them... and hm the deer in the backyard... Ok I admit it I ALWAYS have a camera with me.... I was the yearbook geek that was in charge of way too much and was on the sidelines at games.. wiicked13 [at] yahoo [dot] com

I don't usually use the flash for far away pics, even at night - it just lights up the area in front of me and I don't get a good shot of the subject in the distance.
I love taking pictures of my family and my favorite tip for great photos is visit a state park, especially in the spring and fall for really beautiful backgrounds. We could definitely use this!
