Aloha Friday #2
Here we go with our Aloha Friday #2....
Lets take it easy today with a simple question.
What's the easiest thing that you do to save a buck?
I clip coupons and shop where they double them! I stopped shopping at Hannaford because I realized that I was spending way more than I had to because they didn't double coupons.

I try and plan my meals according to the sale circular and the coupons I have in hand.
We all need to stretch the dollar further than it's been stretched before... I'm open to learning new things too!
Oh Okay, I just read that the highlight of your week was getting tickets to Rachael Ray! I am soooooooooo jealous! Next to Paula Deane she is one of my favorites!! Lucky girls you and mom are!!

I am leaving a message under anonymus...........lol
how I save a buck is not shop...lol
Staying home is the way I save money. And I mean that seriously. I used to leave the house every day and I'd have to go to at least one store every day. Now I just stay home a lot more so there's far fewer purchases being made.
Rachel Ray tickets-totally cool!
I save so much money when I don't eat out (or even get drinks thru the drive thru).
I have a grocery list that I keep on the front of the refrigerator and anything we need gets added to that list so I do not "over buy"
I also get ALL of my homecare and personal care products from a wholesale company that ships them right to my front door for several reasons:
1. If I order it from home I don't get more than I really need.
2.Convience- I save so much time.
3.Price! ie. I do 64 loads of laundry for HALF the price of the same with Tide.
4.The products are non.toxic, so I do not worry about my babies getting into them. THIS, is a big one for me.
Coupon clipping/buying according to sales! I was amazed at how much money I could save the first time I really planned.
I only buy things on sale! I stockpile those things!
Probably shutting off lights and unplugging things when they're not in use. It doesn't seem like such simple tasks would really save money, but they do! :)
Happy Aloha Friday!
Meal planning. I mkae a grocery list accordingly and stick to it. I've saved a ton of moolah doing this. =)
I stopped buying things that I see and like on impulse.
I wasted a lot of money doing that!
We make a menu for the week, write a list of what we need at the store. We then check coupons to see what matches. Of course I also am an avid CVS (ECB) and Rite Aid (single check rebate) fan to see their deals.
How do I save money? I stay home. If I am not out shopping and don't see it then I don't think that I need it!
I make a menu of the whole week and "try" to buy only what is on the list.
I shop at Aldi for most of my groceries.
I just don't go out shopping. If I can't see it, I won't buy it.
I keep the heat turned way down at night and while we are at work.
I plan our meals around whatever is on sale. Also, I buy a lot of generic brand stuff which surprisingly saves me close to $50 a week since I started doing it!
I have really cut out all the extra stuff I normally get.. for no reason lol I am trying to plan meals.. that helps.
We eat in more than we eat out. :-)
I clip coupons too, but no one where I live doubles them. The best I can do is go to Albertsons where they take competitor coupons
not buying name brands. they mean nothing to me and you can save quite a bit.
I try to save a buck by making a large quantity of a meal and having it again the second night. I usually only do this with things that keep well, and that everyone loves. It does save a lot of money!
I'm following your blog...could you please follow mine?
