Aloha Friday #4

I cant believe another week has already flown by and its Aloha Friday time!!

Photobucket

Kailani at An Island Life hosts Aloha Friday every week. Like she says- "In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
"

Here's this weeks question to you from me... We're going fashion and politics this week.

Everyone says how Michelle Obama is such a fashionable woman. And I agree that she is. There's been some not so nice things said about the dress that she wore to the inaugural balls though.

What did you think about any of her inauguration day clothes? Have a favorite outfit that you've seen her wear? What do you think she would look great in?

Get on over to An Island Life to link up and participate!!

I actually thought she looked lovely in the outfits.

I did not like the first dress, the yellow one. I thought it was a frumpy dress.

I loved the sparkling white one that she wore from the young designer.

I think she has the shape to wear almost anything and look good.

I especially like the way her arms look when she wears something sleeveless.

The inaugaration will be airing tomorrow evening here in Australia. I will keep my eye on Michelle and see what she is wearing. As an American in Australia, it has been interesting to see the election take place so far away from home.

I didn't like the yellowish one. The white gown was beautiful!

I think the new first lady is a woman of grace and amazing inner beauty. She certainly knows her own style and I respect that.

I did not really like the yellow outfit. The color was ok, but it bunched up in the front and just did not look right to me.

The ball gown was pretty and the off the shoulder really suited her figure well.

I thought she looked pretty in it particularly the upper portion. She has a lovely neck/shoulder area and the dress showed that off very well. It could possibly have been a little more fitted on the lower half though.

I thought she looked great in all of them. I couldn't pull of that yellow, but she did! And I loved the white one!

I was under-thused with Michelle's inaugural ball. I wished she had worn something brighter, darker, more dashing. I loved Jill Biden's bright red.

Oh, and I read your comment about Obama's stumbling over his inaugural pledge. FYI, I replied,

Oh, and caseydeuce, it wasn't Obama's tripping up, it was Chief Justice Roberts who goofed and read the pledge incorrectly. Obama was actually on his toes and caught the gaffe, hence his hesitation and appearance of stumble.

Okay, so oops, I dont know all the words of the swearing in and I dont have my full attention on it always with my monsters running around me... I was still happy to hear some imperfection, whomever caused it does not matter. It just reminds me how human these people are still.

What I saw them talking about on the news and so on looked nice but I didn't watch any of the ceremonies so I really don't know what she wore.

I loved all her outfits, but the inaugural ball dress did look a little retrofitted, with the one shoulder strap... honestly, i probably wouldn't have noticed this without help from one of those fashion commentators I happened to hear talking during the first dance. I loved the white color though.

I really didn't notice any of her outfits. However, she always looks so well put together.

I'm not one to critique unless something is really awful looking. I think she looked beautiful and very happy!

I think she dresses very well. I think we're looking at another Camelot Presidency

I didn't care for the yellow. However she is a beautiful woman & can wear pretty much anything & look great!

From what I saw, she looks like a very classy lady.

I give her credit for walking down the street in heels, and gracefully too.

I loved what she wore! People are so mean!

I thought she looked nice! Her dress for the ball was very beautiful.. It wouldn't matter who she was there are always people who are critical no matter what you stand for.. what party you for or what you look like..where you come from. The white dress was really pretty!
