Rain-X Review & Giveaway!!
I did it. I bought a mini-van. I never thought that I'd be a mini-van mom, but I am. Dont get me wrong, I loved my suv's, and the car has most definitely served its purpose for the past year, but the family has grown and it was time for the vehicle to grow too.
We bought used from one of the nicest couples that I've ever met and they did take wonderful care of the van. But me, just being me, replaced the wiper blades. Not too long ago, the wiper blades on the car freaked out and basically shredded and I got so nervous that someone was going to splash a mud puddle on the car and I wouldn't be able to see. What a scary thought!! I replaced the wiper blades with awesome Rain-X Latitude wiper blades and what an amazing switch that they are. A clean windshield is a happy windshield and a safe windshield!!
Though I may have changed the wiper blades before it was necessary, I'm getting into the habit of changing them every Groundhog day! Rain-X and Jody DeVere from AskPatty.com has suggested doing it every year, and Groundhog day is a great reminder to do it.
Winter is still here and even though I'm desperately hoping for spring, we still need to take those winter weather precautions! Make sure you have more than a half tank of gas- we don't want stalling out vehicles due to too little gas in the tank. Do a regular walk around your car, checking lights, fluids, wipers etc,... I'm known for consistantly running out of windshield wiper fluid, so now I keep some stashed in the trunk. And speaking of stashing things in the trunk... make yourself an emergency kit!! Toss in a blanket, a few snacks, an extra ice scraper, bottled water and a bag of kitty litter. My own personal addition would be a spare pair of shoes and socks, if you get your car stuck and have to get out in the muck, your feet are gonna end up being COLD!
Lets take care of ourselves on the roads and take care of the cars that carry us around on the roads.
Want to win a Rain-X car care kit? It consists of Rain-X Latitude wipers (specific for your car), Rain-X weatherbeater 2 in 1 glass cleaner and repellant, and the new Rain-X extreme clean.
To enter, leave in a comment something that you would keep in your emergency kit in your car.
Extra entries!! Subscribe or follow A Couch With A View! Post about this giveaway on your blog and leave me the link in a comment! Follow CaseyDeuce on Twitter and tweet this giveaway!!
Please keep in mind, if you're the winner you will need to provide me with the cars year, make and model so that I can make sure that you get send the correct wiper blades!!
This giveaway will accept entries until noon eastern, Thursday, February 26th. Winner will be chosen with random.org and will be emailed. Winner will have 3 days to reply or else a new winner will be drawn!

There's no point in keeping a flashlight in the car when it's so cold here. The batteries just go dead. But, jumper cables are a necessity. Oh yes, lots of extra warm clothing, a candle in a tin and a "space" blanket. Thanks for the contest.

Living in Florida, I figure "keep the kitty litter out of the trunk, it might attract panthers or something". What I have actually used often enough to be worth mentioning is a tire-plugger tool, used to patch a hole after running over a nail or equivalent. That and the electric air pump keeps me mobile, saves on AAA calls.
I keep a six pack of beer, a carton of cigarettes, and my dog in my car. JUST KIDDING!!!! LOL I actualy have a blanket , flashlight and emergency road kit in my car...
