Pink Together....

If you watched my Monday Mingle, you'd know that I have a thought on breast cancer awareness, and all cancer awareness, that it shouldn't just be one month. We should be aware ALWAYS, doing what we can to beat these aweful illnesses. Not just one month of the year. Regardless, it is breast cancer awareness month and now there's lots of light being shed on some great causes. One of those is of course, Susan G. Komen as well as PinkTogether.com and ShopKomen.com.

PinkTogether.com is a great site where people can reach to others, discuss and have a community of breast cancer survivors and supporters. No matter what the scenerio, support is always needed and this is a great place to find it. I love that General Mills is supporting Susan G. Komen, PinkTogether.com and ShopKomen.com. General Mills will be donating $2 million dollars to Susan G. Komen for the Cure as well as $1 (up to $20,000) for each encouraging comment, virtual flower bouquet or story shared on PinkTogether.com in October.

Another great way to support is by buying products that give back to breast cancer causes, which you can do at ShopKomen.com. 25% of each purchase benefits Komen for the Cure fight against breast cancer. With now being the season for gift giving, you can make it twofold, by purchasing items to give as gifts from ShopKomen and having that 25% donated back to Komen for the Cure. Its a win-win right?

Would you like to win a ShopKomen.com/PinkTogether.com prize pack? To enter, visit PinkTogether.com and let me know what you think, you can send a virtual bouquet, add a comment, tell me what touches your heart... whatever you'd like to do to support this cause. One winner will receive a ShopKomen.com/PinkTogether.com prize pack consisting of a sleeved travel mug, running ribbon charm bracelet, pink leather strap keychain, pink cinch bag and a set of inspirational note cards.

I really like the wrap bracelets - they're a nice take on the traditional cause bracelets.

Thanks for hosting this contest!

I did the walk for many years!!! The most memorable time was with my grandma (survivor) my mom, my sister, and her daughter...4 generations.

The site has a lot of neat items... I still have the mug I earned a couple years ago, but I like the new one ribbon mugs.

It is a wonderful site indeed. My family has been hit hard with breast and cervical cancer. My cousin is currently a 10 year survivor of breast cancer ~ and her strength and optimism is so inspiring.

What a great site. I love that you can find local people with local stories. My dog is the local Susan G. Kolmen Breast Cancer survivor spay/neuter advocate. Spaying a dog before age two drastically reduces the chance of canine breast cancer. My dog is a two-time survivor and a great advocate for spay/neuter! Plus she's cute in her pink hat!

I loved the site. I found some of the stories beautifully written with articulation and emotional details. I like that survivors can discuss things with other survivors.
