Looking Back #1
We're looking back now, play along at An Ordinary Life every week!! This was Boug's 2nd birthday party, after all the chaos had simmered down, people had started to leave, the party clothes were trashed.... She was excited about her new sunglasses and gardening gloves. I cant believe how little she was, how curly her hair once was, how she still had those chubby little arms and legs!!
Now she's getting so big, and is such a little lady! Its hard to believe that she was once a little toddler!!
Enjoyed this week's look back? Remember to play along next week!
Thanks Kristin for starting up the weekly Look Back!
And at Kristin's request, here's Boug today, not literally, but last week, with her dad opening up our Velveeta party pack for the Superbowl! Its the most recent decent one that I have and I'm not waking her up now at 1:20 am to take a picture!! LOL!!
You're Kidding Me, Right?
This is the sidewalk between my garage and my house, we haven't had snow in a few days and now its snowing. Though this isn't the actual snowfall. Its the DRIFTS. This sidewalk was completely clear this morning. Is this snow drift SERIOUS? What a pain in the ass.
Planning Your Valentine's Date Night?
Who's planning a super sweet Valentine's date night with their loved one? I'm so disorganized and I'm constantly running out of good ideas for what to do. I stopped by the Springpad Date Planner and its really making it so much easier for me! You can pick great choices from dining out, dining in, movies, gifts and any other activity that you can think of!
I picked "dining in" and a whole list of fabulous recipe recommendations popped up. The shrimp and artichoke pasta that came up is the perfect recipe for my husband! I picked "give a gift" and so many great gift ideas came up, things that I wouldn't have even thought of for him! I'm currently thinking about getting him a fruit bouquet from Edible Arrangements, they have some seriously nice items! I hate spending money on frivilous things, so a nice edible fruit arrangement is perfect for us!
I love the option of "dining out" even though the hub and I wont be dining out this year. Pop in your zip, select your search radius and all sorts of great restaurants in your area come up, along with phone numbers, addresses and star ratings!!
And it isn't solely for Valentine's day, you can use this for whatever date night you need to organize!! Go on over and check it out, its definitely worth the visit!! You can plan weeks out, menu plans, organize your childrens health notes, budget plans and more!!
Though we wont be going out, I will be cooking up a nice dinner at home of some mushroom and ham fettuccine and some salad... I cook very cheaply, but still make a nice dinner!!
cooked, thin-sliced ham, about 1/2 lb.
1 c. sliced mushrooms
about 1-2 tbsp. minced garlic (to taste)
1 c. parm cheese
1 c. sour cream
1 lb. fettuccine
about 3 tbsp. butter + 1/2 c. butter
Saute ham, mushrooms, garlic in 3 tbsp. butter while boiling the fettuccine.
Melt 1/2 c. butter in pan, stir in fettuccine, parm cheese, sour cream (and pepper if you like pepper, we do!) add ham, mushrooms & garlic mix. Toss to coat! Pair up with some nice crusty bread and a side salad and you're great!!
Enjoy your special date night with your loved one!!

Deuce's World #3 Valentine's Giveaway...

I'm the furthest thing from perfect. Literally the FURTHEST thing. I smoke, bite my nails, sometimes cook dinner too late at night, let my daughter skip her bath every once in a while. Do you want me to go on? I can, I really really can.
I'm in love with No Mommy's Perfect. This line says everything that I've always wanted to say, things like water bottles that say- "Its progress,

He's Just Not That Into You Soundtrack Review & Giveaway!!
Valentines Day Giveaway #2...... (my hopeless romantic giveaway)
Any movies coming up that you'd love to see?? I really would love to see "He's Just Not That Into You" but we all know that I'm not getting out for a date night with hubby anytime soon. Next best thing around here... the movie soundtrack!! We're such movie lovers and with artists like this on a soundtrack to a movie, I'm in heaven!!
The movie is based on a group of interconnected thirty-somethings dealing with their various relationships. All the different scenarios are there, a fabulous cast, and the perfect movie based on the book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.
The cd soundtrack is being released February 3rd, but lucky me!! I got a sneak peek!! Any cd that can combine The Cure, James Morrison and The Ting-Tings is definitely alright by me!! "Friday I'm in Love" is classic and Lily Allen's "Smile" is just so catchy. Even my 4 year old was dancing along to Maroon 5's "If I Never See Your Face Again." Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" makes me instantly melt and I cannot wait to see the movie to see exactly where these songs are worked in and with who's storyline and characters. Will Jennifer Connolly's character Janine have Wilco worked into her storyline? Will Justin Long's character Alex have a scene with "I'm Amazed" by My Morning Jacket playing in it?
With Valentine's day coming, will you be taking someone to see this movie, girls night or a date night? Will you be convincing your other half that you NEED this cd as a Valentine's day gift?
Head on over to the sountrack website, find out all about the movie, the soundtrack, take the "in to you" quiz, send some e-hearts and come on back here. Cause I've got a giveaway going on!!
