Save yourself from a "monthly mishap" (giveaway!)
Sometimes I think, "Man, being a chick is a pain in the butt!" Granted, sometimes I think that about being a mom, or about being a single mom, or about work, or about a million other things. But with the whole thinking that being a chick is a pain in the butt, that thought comes like clockwork every. single. month. It might not be the most fun subject that I've covered on A Couch With A View, but I'm all about new products, helpful hints, girl talk and more. This falls in a few of those categories.
Being a busy chick, I turn to products that I know and trust, and I hate to be caught in a potentially embarrassing situation. Since I was young, I've turned to Carefree liners, and I've continued to do so during my adult life. I remember being told by a friend to bring my own "girly products" to the hospital after having a baby, because what they give you is crazy uncomfortable. I grabbed what I trusted off of the drug store shelf. Now a days, I turn to the Carefree Acti-Fresh liners when its that time, and I'm happy I do, cause I haven't had any sort of a slip up with them at all yet. Having a "monthly mishap" is something I try to avoid, with all the running here and there, work, picking up this one from school, bringing that one to a play date, etc etc...
The Carefree Acti-Fresh liners are 40% thinner and up to twice as absorbent, and they even have an odor control system. Its great for making you feel more confident even at your most uncomfortable time of the month.
Want to win a sample pack of the new Carefree Acti-Fresh liners? Have you ever had a "monthly mishap?" How did you deal??

Yes, I've had a monthly mishap. I am currently going through an early stage of menopause and lately my cycle has been skipping every two months. About two months ago, my cycle surprised me while I was walking to the train from work. I immediately walked into the nearest Walgreens drug store and purchased a box of sanitary napkins. When I arrived in the train station, there was a ladies washroom in which I took the opportunity to put on sanitary napkin. I then proceed to get on the train.

I definitely once had to use a bunch of toilet paper to prevent some leakage and ever since I've started using pantiliners religiously.

Yes. I wrapped my jacket around my waist for the rest of the day!

When I had that mishap I used toilet paper from the nearest restroom and then went straight home or to the nearest drugstore.

I had a mishap while I was at the beach - my bathing suit bottom was black and white, so it was noticeable (and embarrassing). Luckily I had a towel nearby to wrap myself and then hurried to the closest facilities. (Thankfully, I had some supplies in my beach bag!)
I remember a mishap I had back in highschool. I was on a cheerleading camp. Thankfully, i was surrounded by lots of girlfriends. I was quickly provided with the neccessities and able to go on.

yes , while at school. I had to use toilet paper and wrap my sweatshirt around my waist. I did not stand out much since it was in style back then to tie your shirt around your waist
