Extraordinary Morsel Monday

This is a cross post from Extraordinary Mothers, be sure to visit Extraordinary Mothers for WW, Mega Reviews, giveaways, and much more!!

'Tis the season and one thing that we do each and every year now in our house is make this simple, apple cinnamon ornaments for our tree. They smell DIVINE and fill the whole house with this warm, sweet and spicy scent. They're super easy to make and fun to do with the kids!
I know it looks yucky- this is only my "crafting" cookie sheet!!

1/2 cup cinnamon
1/2 cup store bought applesauce- homemade is too watery

Stir together the applesauce and cinnamon until stiff. Create a dough ball. Flatten onto wax paper with your fingers. Place a second sheet of wax paper on top and roll out with a rolling pin to about 1/8th of an inch thick. Remove top sheet of wax paper and use your cookie cutters to cut whatever shapes you'd like. I use a small cocktail straw to put a hole in the top of the "cookie" so that the ornament can be hung. You can air dry these until hard or place into an oven until dried out. I like to dry mine out in the oven (LOW HEAT!) because it gives the house that extra kick of scent! Each year I place mine into a ziploc bag and they're still fragrant for the next holiday season!

These make great additions to gifts instead of bows, and look exceptionally fabulous around the top of one of those jar gifts I gave recipes for!!

Simply Darling with Matilda Jane!

I love clothes with personality. I hate cookie cutter, off the rack outfits, and although I purchase clothes from the racks, I'm always looking for something sweet for my kids. Given the opportunity to put Boug in some Matilda Jane clothing, I was thrilled. Their items are ridiculously cute, and chic for little kids at the same time!

Matilda Jane has clothing for girls that makes them stand out, look absolutely adorable, but items that are comfortable at the same time. One thing I despise is how uncomfortable Boug is in jeans, so I end up dressing her in leggings or skirts or dresses most of the time. Matilda Jane's skirts are sweet as pie, Boug looks simply adorable in her Gretta skirt, with its apron flap and beautiful prints. And to go with absolutely everything I put her in, the Zelda zip-up is perfection, supersoft, perfect pink, with the Matilda Jane logo sprawled on the back.

You can even host a Matilda Jane "trunk show" where you basically hold a "tupperware-party" of supercute adorableness!! Matilda Jane will provide you with the catalogs and invites, you gather your pals and hang out, with great friends to order up sweet Matilda Jane pieces. Their orders will help you earn half price items and Matilda Jane Spare Change to spend for yourself! With sizes running from 6 months through adult, they really do carry quite a lot for guests to choose from!!

Big thanks to Matilda Jane and Extraordinary Mothers for this Mega Review, I received items free of charge to review, which in no way altered how I feel about the company/product!!
