Up, Up and awayyyyyy!!

One of the great movies coming out on DVD this holiday season is UP, unfortunately we never got to see this one in the theaters so I'm super happy that its almost on DVD!

The story of UP is too sweet, 78 year old Carl the balloon salesman finally ties thousands of balloons to his house to fulfill his hopes of getting to the wilds of South America. Little did he know that the excitable Russell, the 8 year old Wilderness Explorer is coming along for the ride! The film is just too touching, with Carl's wife dying and Carl wanting to live their dream of getting to Paradise Falls in South America. Of course, when Carl and Russell make it to South America, they meet some characters that they definitely weren't expecting!!

On Tuesday, 11/9, UP will be available in a 4 disc editon as well as a single disc copy and a two disc deluxe edition, plus digital copy and both are loaded with extras! The "adventure is out there" bonus material is so cool cause you can see how the filmmakers went to South America to research the design and story of UP.

Now if this were real life, it would have taken 4,600,000 helium balloons to lift up Carls house, or 3,200 balloons to lift up a dog like Dug in the movie!

You can preorder the 4 disc combo pack with digital copy, two disc deluxe edition with digital copy or the single disc widescreen edition at amazon.com

Opinions are my own, I was provided items free of charge to review which in no way changed the way I feel about the product!

A Princess and Seven Great Guys....

Who doesn't love Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs?? What girl didn't want to be a princess, with seven helpers constantly around her, with a prince on the way??

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition was just released on Blu-Ray with DVD combo pack and I'm so excited we were able to grab a copy. To be able to share one of my very favorite, classic, princess stories with Boug is awesome! Of course, being digitally remastered is a great plus too, being able to watch it in an all new quality.

As with each and every movie we get, we have to check out the bonus features and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, I'm a sucker for bonuses- its like getting something for free when you buy the movie!! As expected, Boug was a big fan of the "The Princess and the Frog" sneak peek that's on the Diamond Edition of Snow White. I love the audio commentary with Walt Disney as hosted by John Canemaker, I love being able to follow along with someone with such involvement in the "behind the scenes," to say the least! Of course that isn't all of the bonus features, there's more like the "Magic Mirror" that allows you to create a customized movie night for you and yours. There's also the peek at the storyboard featurettes that hadn't been made with "Snow White Returns," and who doesn't love "Someday My Prince Will Come" and the video with Tiffany Thornton is included!

For being over 70 years old, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs definitely still has what it takes to keep up with the animation and storylines of today. Naturally, its definitely one of those must-have movies for little girls!! You can pick up your copy of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition on Amazon.com

Celebrate the holidays with some of everyones favorites!

With the holidays right around the corner, a great way to gear up and get everyone in the spirit is snuggling up with some hot chocolate, popcorn and a great holiday movie or two!

In our house, Mickey Mouse and Winne the Pooh are two big favorites, not only with the kids, but with the hub and I! Last week, TWO awesome holiday DVDs became available, The Disney Animation Collection Volume 7: Mickey's Christmas Carol, as well as Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving 10th Anniversary Edition.

Of course, Mickey's Christmas Carol has always been one of my favorites and now the DVD is available with three bonus shorts! Pluto's Christmas Tree, The Small One and Santa's Workshop. The classic story of "A Christmas Carol" including Mickey, Donald Duck and more is far too cute for words and is a great "gear up for the holidays" DVD to share with the family!

But we can't forget ol' Pooh Bear and the rest of the Hundred Acre Woods friends while they search for winter in Seasons of Giving. Including two new to DVD epidsodes, The Magic Earmuffs and The Wishing Bear, but our favorite part is the five songs included and the adorable Christmas stocking that accompanies the set!

You can pick up Disney Animation Collection 7: Mickey's Christmas Carol and Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving at Amazon.com

Jonas Rockin' the House

Boug's at the age where she's into the boy bands all of a sudden, the little girls at school have Jonas Brothers backpacks and she just asked me today how do girls find a husband to marry...

Jonas Rockin' the House was obviously a huge hit at our house, and Boug has kept asking me to put it on over and over- yes, I'm growing a bit tired of it after watching it probably 20 times so far.

The movie is cute and the boys seem like they're growing up since breaking onto the scene, what a year or two ago? Five episodes, Groovy Movies, Wrong Song, Pizza Girl, Bands Best Friend, and Chasing The Dream, along with two bonus episodes, Beauty and the Beat, and Cold Shoulder have kept this on our "must watch" list. Our favorite episode is Cold Shoulder, Boug loves the song "Left My Heart."

The "You've Just Been Jo-Bro'd" bonus on the DVD is hilarious, and Boug cracks up each time it plays. Watching the guys play a prank on Chelsea Staub is great, it shows just how normal and down to earth they are as well.

Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana

I think that Boug has a Disney show obsession simply for the reason that this cable company doesn't even offer it. There's only ONE reason that she's happy we're moving this weeks and that's because the new house will have the Disney channel. For all those times that we missed shows, Boug's been lucky because we've been able to grab them on DVD.

Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana was just released on DVD and Boug was thrilled! Getting THREE different shows together into a DVD was a huge perk to her, Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana and The Suite Life on Deck all together kept her interest in all three parts of the DVD.

With bonus features including, Justin's Award-Winning Essay: Watch The Essay Video That Got Justin And His Siblings On The S.S. TIPTON Teen Cruise, It's A Suite Life Having Fun With Hannah & The Wizards Hilarious Bloopers And Backstage Interviews With The Stars!

As always, I'm a big fan of the bloopers and its always fun to catch the behind the scenes footage! Even with the DVD, I don't care to admit that I can actually sit and watch with this Boug, but its not such a bad show for kids! You can pick up your copy of Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana at Amazon.com

Bedknobs & Broomsticks: Enchanted Musical Edition

Once again, we got another new movie that has been around for ages, that I've NEVER seen. Bedknobs & Broomsticks has just been released as the Enchanted Musical Edition and I have to say, like pretty much every other Disney movie, I LOVE IT! Though more importantly, Miss Boug loves it!

Originally released back in 1971 (other than both me and the hub!) its been re-released fully restored and remastered and loaded with bonus materials! You can check out features like "Wizards of Special Effects," Music Magic and a deleted song called "Step in the right direction." Boug is a big fan of music and being able to check out an extra song from the movie was definitely her favorite part!

A Disney classic starring Angela Lansbury as an apprentice witch, 3 kids and a conman searching for the missing link to a magical spell for Britain during the second world war is a movie that's fun and interesting to watch for the whole family! We love watching the animation added into a live action movie from back in the day!
