Holiday Wish List includes Yoplait!!

With the colder weather here, the holidays impending and everyone being so busy, sometimes its hard to incorporate fruits and veggies into your diet as much as over the warmer months. I know I cringe at the grocery store when I look at the prices of fruit and the availability over the winter. I still want to get the good stuff into me, but I look for other options when this time of year rolls around.

Yoplait Frozen Smoothies are a Godsend!! Each package contains a full serving of fruit and for those of us watching our weight, only 110 to 120 calories per serving! I love being able to turn to something so easy to get my fruit servings in! The entire package of Yoplait Frozen Smoothies is tossed into the blender and skim milk added, next thing ya know, an awesome smoothie!! I love to not only use the smoothies as a great quick breakfast for myself, I sometimes use them as an after dinner treat, instead of gnoshing on some cookies or other junk food!! There are four flavors available, Blueberry Pomegranete, Triple Berry, Strawberry Banana, and my fave, Strawberry Mango Pineapple!

Want to win a win a 3 Speed Kitchenaid Blender and some Yoplait Frozen Smoothie free product coupons? Leave a comment here with which flavor you'd love to try!

Thinking about what will happen in 28 days...

This year, will be my very first Christmas morning in an empty house, ever. Waking up alone. Just me and the cat.

Although I know its 28 days away, and I shouldn't be stressing myself out over it quite yet, its on my mind. I can't help but think about how my kids won't be waking up here on Christmas morning. I know they'll be here about mid-morning, but its totally different from them actually waking up here. What an odd feeling. I know I could have them here if I wanted to, since the restaurant is only open til 8:00 on Christmas eve and I could be home at a decent hour with them, but I don't want to take away from their father and whatever plans he may have for Christmas eve night or for Christmas morning for that matter.

I know the kids will be fine, and won't stress out over not waking up here on Christmas morning, so why am I stressing out over it? I could be optimistic and think of it how I wouldn't have to wait til the late night to set up the presents under the tree. I could get a good nights sleep for once. But those things don't seem to matter to me the way having the kids wake up here matters to me.

Ebeanstalk for great developmental toys!

I love doing so much shopping online, because it simply makes my life easier, but finding great online retailers that make my decisions easier is even better. I'm a huge fan of ebeanstalk.com because of the great way their site is broken down to help you shop for the little ones in your life.

Having the site broken down into different categories, like baby toys, kids toys, or toys for 1 year olds, for example, makes me feel better about the purchases that I make. I know that the items I purchase are going to be appropriate for the gender and age group that I'm shopping for!

Until tonight (Friday, 11/26) you can use code FREESHIP$65 for free shipping on purchases over $65 or you can use code SAVE20% for savings of 20% on purchases over $100. Ebeanstalk also has their own holiday gift guide on their site to make your holiday shopping effortless!

It's not always easy trying to pick out the best toys for your kids. Ebeanstalk helps to make this process quick, easy, and hassle-free! You can search baby toys or for kids toys by specific age, gender, or toy category. Do you need to find the most fun toys for 1 year olds? Easy! Head on over to ebeanstalk and check it out for yourself!

Dressing cute for the holidays (and year round) with 77kids-- giveaway!!

Although Liz, Sarah and I have decided that we'll start rolling out our Holiday Wish List gift guide on Monday, I wanted to get this giveaway up and rolling because I absolutely can't wait to give someone a chance to shop at 77kids!! I've worked with them a couple times now, and every time is just as great as the last! I have been able to snag some super cute clothes for my kiddies, and have fun in the process!!

Now if you're not lucky enough to have a 77kids store nearby, because there are only a few of them out there so far, you of course can shop online. But the trek out to the store is so worth it. The stores have the coolest photo booths for the kids, the token "Scratchy" bird lights on the floor and different stations for the kids to play so that shopping doesn't have to be a serious task.

Now for the giveaway, I'm giving away here at A Couch With A View, a $50 gift card to 77kids, which of course can be used online as well as in stores. Now both online and in stores, you can do good with 77kids and participate in their Wish-4-Snow campaign to benefit local childrens hospitals. This is how you're going to get your entry into this giveaway!!

Want to win a $50 gift card to 77kids? Head to the Wish-4-Snow area of the site and make a snowflake! Come back here and tell me about the snowflake that you made!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I wanted to take a moment and wish all my friends and readers a very happy Thanksgiving!! This year, the things that I am thankful for have slightly changed. Of course I'm thankful for my wonderful friends and family, my monsterous kids who drive me batty and that I have great people in my life who support me no matter what. I have to add this year that I'm thankful for myself. I've learned a lot about myself over the past year and I'm happy to have embraced who I am, who I have become and the abilities that I didn't even know that I have.

Thank you again, for supporting me as readers, as friends, and for embracing A Couch With A View!

Wish-4-Snow with 77Kids

I'm excited to once again be working with 77Kids in the 77Kids Wish-4-Snow charity program to benefit local childrens hospitals.

To help in this campaign, while shopping in stores, customers can donate .77 cents or more to benefit their local childrens hospital. (Get it? 77kids, .77 cents?) When you donate in store, you'll receive a snowflake to write your name on, and that snowflake will be placed on the stores "blizzard wall" for everyone to see!

Of course those of you without a 77kids store nearby (yet) can also help contribute to the Wish-4-Snow campaign online. You can play a great "catch a snowflake" game through 77kids homepage, and create your own snowflake to help contribute to the donation goal for the childrens hospitals. 77kids hopes to have 100,000 snowflakes created through the microsite, and you can help do that easily online! Once that goal is achieved, 77kids will make an additional $25,000 donation. When a snowflake is created online, you're put into the running to win one of the daily $77 gift cards to 77kids given away! It also puts you in to win the so awesome grand prize, an ultimate block party for you and 77 friends!!

There are quite a few childrens hospitals that will be benefiting from this campaign, so please do what you can to help The Childrens Health and Wellness Center at Danbury Hospital, Childrens Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, The Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, The Childrens Regional Hospital at Cooper, University Hospital Cherry Hill/Philadelphia, Upstate Golisano Childrens Hospital of Syracuse, Wakemed Childrens Hospital of Raleigh, Connecticut Childrens Medical Center of Hartford, and The Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Stay tuned to A Couch With A View to hear more about the 77kids holiday shop, super cool kid powered window and a $50 77kids gift card giveaway!!

I am working on this campaign in conjunction with TheMotherhood and 77kids. I have been compensated, though it has no bearing on how I feel.

Moisturizing with Carmex

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are a few reasons that I despise winter, but one of those reasons is because its the time of year that my skin dries out so horribly. Its so bad that at night, I lay in bed, just clawing at my legs because my skin is so dry. I received the new Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream and I absolutely LOVE how well it kept me moisturized! I have trusted Carmex for a while for their lip balm, and I love turning to brands that I trust for other reasons as well.

It has that same scent that I always immediately associate with Carmex, except lighter. The healing lotion is great for soothing and protecting dry skin, where the healing cream is even better for the even drier, rougher areas of dry skin. Both are non-greasy, which I love, cause there is nothing more that I hate then feeling like an oil slick after putting on some lotion or cream. I have found that the healing lotion from Carmex is perfect for my skin as the weather changes and dries me out. As the winter time progresses, I'm sure I'll be turning to the healing cream as well, the drier that I get!

The new Carmex products can be found at Walgreens, Walgreens.com and Drugstore.com at a super affordable price of $5.99.
